Books-in-Progress

 

Books-in-Progress is designed to give writers a chance to:

• Regularly workshop chapters

• Develop their craft

• Receive ongoing support for a book

Monthly 3-hour online meetings and a half hour bi-weekly online forum 

 

Guided exercises include:

• Reading like a writer

• Knowing the issues that keep writers from moving forward

• Backstory

• Point of view

• Voice

• Landscape

• Image and Metaphor

• Plot and Character

• Time

• Narrative Drive and Pacing

 

This is a class for writers of narrative non-fiction and fiction. The bulk of our time will be spent workshopping the writers’ work. Class size is limited to 5.
